Glenn Close has shared a delightfully candid admission about a missed romantic moment with the late Robert Redford.
During her appearance on Lemonada Media's Wiser Than Me podcast, the acclaimed actress revealed she was “too clueless” to realize she had actually gone on a date with Redford years ago.
Close, who starred alongside the Hollywood icon in the 1984 drama The Natural, explained that after filming wrapped, Redford invited her to dinner at what she described as a “very romantic restaurant.”
At the time, she assumed it was simply a friendly meal, unaware there might have been more to it.
“After we did The Natural, Robert Redford invited me to a very romantic restaurant where we had dinner together,” Close recalled.
“And I was too clueless and unknowing and unsure to even consider that I might have dated him,” she continued, reflecting on the late actor, who died in September at age 89.
“But he found Billy [Sibylle Szaggars, his widow]. But, yeah... It’s just because I didn’t know. I didn’t get it,” she concluded.
