Princess Anne shows Meghan the ways of royal family
Princess Anne and her husband avoid using royal affiliation on Christmas card
Princess Anne has avoided taking sides in Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's feud with King Charles and Prince William.
The only sister of King Charles III has been close to her both nephews since the death of their mother, Princess Diana, and kept the delicate balance even after Harry departed from the UK with Meghan after stepping down as working royals.
Harry has also avoided putting her in a negative light in his criticism of the royal family, which he intensified after moving to the US.
However, Anne's recently surfaced Christmas card is set to draw comparisons to what Meghan's critics see as her excessive use of her royal titles.
The Duchess of Sussex's critics think she has taken the use of royal titles to a level not seen before.
The Duchess of Sussex uses her royal title and affiliation with the royal family on her TV appearances and her Netflix show despite her ongoing differences with some of its members.
On the other hand, Anne, who is known as the most hardworking royal family member, decided not to use her royal titles when she signed off a Christmas card recently.
Eagle-eyed fans spotted a significant detail in Anne's festive greetings after the Governor of Queensland's office shared the card on social media.
Princess Anne and her husband Sir Timothy Laurence chose a photo showing them during their visit to Sark in the Channel Islands this past May, travelling by horse-drawn carriage.
The couple signed the card off in handwritten pen, simply writing, 'From Anne and Tim,' - forgoing their official titles to give their card a more personal touch. The signature sits below a printed greeting which says,
'With Best Wishes for a Happy and Peaceful Christmas and New Year.'
To many, the Princess Royal has set an example for Meghan in the subtlest way possible.
