Fine dining, as the name suggests, offers clientele the finest in food, service and atmosphere. Perhaps there is nothing more therapeutic than a fine dining experience. Culinary sophistication and high standards make for a memorable time for anyone in a fancy restaurant. However, the real issue that separates a casual dining restaurant from a fine dining or upscale restaurant is the decor. Ambiance plays a major part when it comes to making you enjoying your dining experience. Thus, in order to create a pleasant ambiance, the decor of a restaurant plays a significant role.A taste of Italy

It is not possible to build a good restaurant without caring for the background theme at all. And Tuscany Courtyard is one such fine dining restaurant which was built around a theme. In 2012 three entrepreneurs Sikander Bakhtiar, Aamir Rashid and Khurram Khan decided to open this restaurant after their trip to Tuscany, a small village in Italy.

Inspired by freshly baked, thin crust pizza and other Italian delicacies, the trio decided to open a place in Islamabad which would serve authentic Italian food instead of the regular desi/continental food that most restaurants in Pakistan serve. The restaurant gained immense popularity owing to its unique interiors and authentic food but then it was closed down last year because of some unavoidable circumstances.

Now, the restaurant has been re-opened and relocated to Kohsar Market - city’s posh shopping area in F-6. The new three-storied building of the Tuscany Courtyard has been designed by Ali Umer Alvi. Inside, the restaurant has walls painted in subtle tones of beige and terracotta with big wide-paned windows that make one feel like they are sitting in an Italian villa.

The restaurant offers unique experience of an outdoor street café as well as rooftop courtyard ambiance with the lovely view of the Margalla hills while enjoying delicious food. The new location at Kohsar market has ample seating both indoors and outdoors.  Outdoor seating is best for those who want to make the best of food with the view and weather.

The re-launch ceremony of Tuscany Courtyard was a glamorous event with red carpet launch hosted by Natty and top Models Kiran, Kanwal, Ammara and Sabeen. The event was organized by Rezz Aly Shah .The owners of Tuscany Courtyard, Khurram Khan, Sikander Bakhtiar, Aamir Rashid decided to re-open the restaurant after huge demand of Islooites and food lovers of the capital.

The executive chef at Tuscany is a graduate from the Culinary Arts School in Switzerland and after working in 5 star restaurants in Dubai has taken over the helm at Tuscany. Of course the whole menu and the recipe perfection is done by none other than Mr. Khurram Khan, who has decades of experience in the food industry and is a master chef himself. The fabulous menu includes grilled chicken Caesar salad , the Beef Carpaccio, Two Tomato Bruschetta, a huge choice of Thin crust Italian specialty pizzas with choice of whole wheat or white crust, chicken and buffalo Paninis , Bianco, Rossos, polo Passanos, with a range of pastas from Spicy Fettuccine to Penne Mozzarella to Penne Arabiata to Fettuccine Alfredo. The steaks are highly recommended from Wild Shitake Mushroom to Whiskey River steak. And not to miss out on the Szechuan prawns, prawns in garlic sauce and the oven baked fish.
