On second number is Salman Khan while Amitabh Bachchan is sitting pretty on third position. Aamir Khan is part of the top five this year, for the first time, owing to his movie PK, which was a smash hit, whereas Deepika Padukone is the only female celebrity in the top 10. About 24 female celebs made it to the top 100 list accounting for 17.2 per cent of the total money; with Priyanka Chopra featuring at no. 13, Kareena Kapoor Khan at no. 17 and Katrina Kaif on the 18th slot.
In Hollywood’s ranking this year of the most overpaid celebs, Johny Depp took the lead as the most overpaid actor. For every $1 he was paid on his movies, it returned just $1.20. Denzel Washington came in second making $6.50 for every $1 he earned from his recent films. The third on this year’s overpaid list is Will Ferrell, who lagged behind in his performance in Warner Bros.’ Get Hard and returned $6.80 for every $1 paid.
