This week saw Kazim (who has starred in a film as well as music videos) taking on an entirely new avatar, that of a designer. She launched her flagship store, Juggan’s Pret, off the prestigious M.M. Alam road in Lahore amid much fanfare and throngs of people who had flocked to see her.
Spanning over three floors, the spacious store comprises of different ranges of ready-to-wear in a variety of fabrics ranging from simple cotton tunics priced at Rs. 1999 as well as more formal outfits in chiffon with a ceiling cap of Rs.10, 000. The colour palette ensures there’s something for everyone; pastels give way to brighter hues like orange and yellow as well as ensembles in classic shades like red, black and navy. The clothes are mass oriented and will retail well but they’re not fashion-forward, so if you’re looking for innovation you might want to skip this store. Otherwise, if you like Kazim’s morning show style, you can easily stock up on a brand new wardrobe.
