LAHORE: A five-member delegation of Pakistan International Airline’s (PIA) Joint Action Committee (JAC) is holding a meeting with Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif in Lahore today (Wednesday).
JAC Chairman Sohail Baloch is leading the delegation. Other members include Nasir Mehdi Janjua, Anjum, Zakir Naek and Shahid Qureshi.
The team is going to apprise the Punjab CM regarding PIA employee’s reservations over the national flag carrier’s privatization.
Sources said Shahbaz Sharif will take the JAC team into confidence over the airlines privatization and partnership.
Talking to media persons after the meeting, Sohail Baloch said, “We are satisfied after meeting Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif as he has assured us of support and help to redress the issue.”
He further said the Chief Minister has taken notice of harassment complaint of an air hostess and ordered action to arrest the culprits involved in the incident.
He said that they fully apprised the Chief Minister of their reservations and expressed confidence that he would convey the matter and the reservations to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
