DALLAS: Two Pakistani students were part of a team that won $10,000 Business Pitch Competition organized by University of Texas at Arlington.
Raheel Khanzada and Karam Khalil were the two students of Pakistani origin who appeared in the contest at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA).
The contest was hosted by the Art History department at UT Arlington to encourage students with critical thinking.
This contest invited youth from a diverse background to present their business ideas and to provide them tools to promote their business skills.
The competition where students presented several alternative business ideas in order to win, several projects were presented on a number of business areas.
Raheel Khanzada and his team presented an idea of software to facilitate trade and commerce.
UTA University professor Mathew Clark was in charge of this business project. The winning team was not only awarded $10,000 but was also provided an office by Tech FW.
In addition they can attract further investments from this project, which will be offered by private Tech Company of Fort Worth.
