ISLAMABAD: Personnel of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ehtisab Commission raided the residence of provincial secretary Minerals Development department Mian Wahiduddin here on Tuesday.

Official sources told Geo News that the raid was carried by the intelligence wing of the Ehtisab Commission in coordination with personnel of the East zone police station.

Wahiduddin was not present at his residence in Saddar area during the raid, which was carried out after an warrant was earlier issued for his arrest in a graft case.

However, sources told Geo News that personnel raiding the house seized key documents relating to the alleged graft and corruption worth millions of rupees.

Sources said that Wahiduddin is currently in Lahore and has been given a period of seven days to appear before the provincial Accountability Commission. The suspect risks being declared a proclaimed offender if he fails to appear before the commission in the given period.
