NAB to launch probe against Raisani, Mazharul Haq, Mardan Shah

ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is set to launch a probe over allegations against former CM Balochistan Nawab Aslam Raisani, former education minister in Sindh Pir Mazharul Haq and former minister for population welfare in Sindh Syed Ali Mardan Shah.

An inquiry will be launched against Raisani for allegedly appointing three Naib Tehsildars in contradiction with formal procedure, said a spokesman in a statement issued here by the NAB.

He said that investigations will also be launched against the two former Sindh ministers over fake appointments and embezzlements besides abuse of official authority.

The decisions were taken at a meeting of NAB’s executive board held here under Chairman Qamar Zaman Chaudhry, said the statement.
