KARACHI: Wicket-keeper batsman Sarfaraz Ahmed met with Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Shahryar Khan on Saturday.
According to sources, Sarfaraz is expected to be named as the vice-captain for the ODI and T20 squads. Azhar Ali is still considered to be the leading candidate for the post of ODI captain. He is also expected to be named as Misbah-ul-Haq’s deputy in the test squad.
A major shake-up is taking place in Pakistani cricket following the team’s performance at the World Cup. Earlier, chief selector Moin Khan was sacked by the PCB and a new selection committee is expected to be announced soon.
