DUNEDIN: New Zealand won the toss and elected to bat first in the sixth one-day international against Sri Lanka in Dunedin on Sunday.
A win to New Zealand will give them an unbeatable 4-1 lead in the series with a match to play.
However, the only game they lost was the only other time captain Brendon McCullum has won the toss. "We think the wicket´s pretty good and there´s little in it after the first 10-15 overs," McCullum said of his decision to bat and after batting first on the same wicket in the fifth ODI on Friday when New Zealand beat Sri Lanka by 108 runs.
New Zealand have made two changes to that side with Daniel Vettori coming in for Nathan McCullum and Kyle Mills, returning from injury for his first match in the series, replacing Tim Southee.
Vettori´s selection sees him start his 280th ODI, overtaking former captain Stephen Fleming as New Zealand´s most capped player.
Sri Lanka have also made two changes with Dhammika Prasad in for Nuwan Kulasakera and Rangana Herath replacing Sachithra Senanayake.
