Argentinean envoy meets CADD minister

Wants early cabinet approval for Polyclinic extension project

Ambassador of Argentina Rodolfo J. Martin Saravia on Monday called on Minister of State for the Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) Barrister Usman Ibrahim in his office and discussed matters of extension of Federal Government Polyclinic.
The ambassador expressed his government’s desire for early cabinet approval for the start of work on long-awaited healthcare project. He expressed the hope that the Federal Government Polyclinic would be living symbol of friendship between Pakistan and Argentina.
The minister thanked the ambassador for meeting him and expressing good wishes for the people of Pakistan. He said after the cabinet's permission, a feasibility study of the project would shortly be carried out so that work on the extension of Federal Government Polyclinic could begin without delay.
The minister said under the plan, the hospital would be 1,000 bedded facility equipped with state of the art equipment and provisions for patients. He said the meeting of the steering committee was being convened this week to chalk out a plan in this respect.
The meeting was attended by Senator Kalsoom Parveen, Senator Saher Kamran, Mr. Qaiser Majeed, Additional Secretary CA&DD, Dr. I.U. Baig of Polyclinic, Polyclinic Executive Director Dr. Zahid Hussain and DG (development) Dr. Ashfaq Ahmed.
