Badami Bagh police registered a case against four terrorists who were killed by the CIA police a day back.
Police registered a case on the complaint of Badami Bagh SHO Shirjeel Butt. The case was registered under Sections 302, 324, ATA and other section of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC). Four terrorists were killed while three policemen sustained injuries during an encounter with the CIA police in Badami Bagh police limits late Wednesday night.
Police raided a house on the information of an arrested terrorist, Haroon Bhatti, who had been arrested from Dubai. The terrorists belonged to a banned outfit, Lashkar-e-Jhangvi. The other alleged terrorists were identified as Omair Nadeem, Omar and Nauman. Haroon was also killed due to firing of his own accomplices.
As per police sources, the government fixed a head money of Rs2,500,000 on Haroon Bhatti. The said terrorists killed nine army officers and officials at Army Camp Gujrat, three policemen in Muzaffargarh, three policemen at a petrol pump in Khanewal, kidnapped Amir Malik, son-in-law of General Tariq Majeed, for Rs10 crore ransom, kidnapped an American citizen Dr Warren Weinstein for Rs 30 crore ransom, kidnapped Mohammad Umar, son of General Khalid Shamim, for ransom, killed three policemen at Babu Sabu Interchange, killed Maulana Shamas-ur-Rehman, Shakir Ali, Dr Ali Haider, Murtaza Haider, Ali Hussain Qazalbash, Ghulam Raza Jaffari, Arshad Ali, and Waqar Haider. They were involved in various crimes they had committed in Lahore, Khanewal, Muzaffargarh, Dera Ghazi Khan, Gujrat and Multan.
Police recovered two SMG rifles, hundreds of bullets, 10 hand grenades, five remote-control devices, electric timer and uniforms of police commandos. They threatened people belonging to different walks of life including Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi, Abida Hussain, Usman Qasmi, former LHC judge Zahid Hussain and others.
