Senior Member Special Management Unit Law and Order Salman Sufi has said the Punjab government in respect of martyrs of Multan bomb blast has postponed the inaugural ceremony of the first centre for women victims of violence.
Narrating details, Salman Sufi said the construction of the centre will continue, however, media briefing and inaugural ceremony will be held later. He said that at present the Punjab government wants to pay its full attention to the treatment and rehabilitation of bomb blast injured therefore the inaugural ceremony of the first centre for women facing violence has been postponed. It may be mentioned that the inaugural ceremony of the first centre for women victims of violence has to be held on September 15 in Multan.
PhDs: Punjab University has awarded PhD to four scholars in different subjects.
Fouzia Tabassum, daughter of Taj Muhammad Khan, has been awarded PhD in the subject of Education after approval of her thesis “A Study to Explore the Level of Professional Self-Esteem of Teachers at Secondary Level in Pakistan”, Habib-ur-Rehman, son of Muhammad Ashrafin, the subject of Islamic Studies after approval of his thesis “Intellectual Property Rights in Islamic Perspective”, Amana Nadeem, daughter of Nadeem-ur-Rehman, in the subject of Zoology after approval of her thesis “Mycotechnological Production of Laccase by Pleurotus Ostreatus” and Waheed Akram, son of Muhammad Akram, in the subject of Agricultural Sciences after approval of his thesis “Studies on Efficacy and Mechanisms of Bacillus Strains to Induce Systemic Resistance in Tomato against Fusarium Wilt”.
PU Examinations Department has declared the results of LLB Part-I Annual Examination 2015, BS Home Economics Part-I (1styear) Annual Examination 2015 and Diploma in Gynecology & Obstetrics (DGO) Supplementary 2010 & Annual Examination 2014.
Meanwhile, according to a press release on the request of professionals and students the Punjab University Sheikh Zayed Islamic Centre’s Department of Islamic Studies has started admissions for MPhil Islamic Studies in “World Religions and Islamic Economics”.
