Imtiaz Ali reveals Kareena and Shahid Kapoor's breakup had no impact on 'Jab We Met' filming
Imtiaz Ali lauded Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor as exceptionally professional actors
Imtiaz Ali revealed that Bollywood actors Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor's breakup didn't affect the Jab We Met shoot, emphasizing, "Their relationship ended."
During an interview with Galat India, the 52-year-old director praised the Udta Punjab actress and the Kabir Singh actor as highly professional artists.
The Jab Harry Met Sejal director mentioned that the couple parted ways at the conclusion of the shoot, yet any tension in their personal relationship did not manifest on set.
Jab We Met marked Imtiaz's second film following his debut Socha Na Tha in 2005, and it coincided with a period where Shahid and Kareena's pairing was not yielding box office success.
He said, “Most of the film was shot. There were two days after their so-called break-up that we had to shoot."
"They were absolutely professional. No blemish, nothing at all, whatever is happening in their personal lives,” Imtiaz added.
On the professional endeavor, Imtiaz Ali is enjoying the praise for his recent film, Amar Singh Chamkila, based on real story, which premiered on Netflix last month.
The film's star-studded cast includes Parineeti Chopra and Diljit Dosanjh in the main leads.
