Girls bag two top positions in Inter exam

Board of Intermediate and Secondary Eduction (BISE) Lahore on Friday announced toppers of Intermediate Annual Examinations 2015, according to which, two out of the three overall top positions have been bagged by girls.
The names of the high achievers were announced by the Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education (BISE) Chairman Dr Muhammad Nasrullah Virk at a press conference held at board’s office here on Friday evening. The result of the examination will be declared today (Saturday) along with a medal award ceremony for the position holders.
Muhammad Umar (Roll No.134122) of KIPS College for Boys, Johar Town, Lahore and Syed Shayan Zahid (Roll No.135799) of Government College University (GCU) Lahore, secured 1044 marks each and got overall first position, Ms. Abyaz Asmar, (Roll No.107299) of Government Kinnaird College for Women, Lahore secured 1043 marks and stood second.
Mahnoor Wazeer (Roll No.108274) Government Kinnaird College for Women, Lahore and Rimsha Zia (Roll No.127051) of Punjab College for Women, Muslim Town, Lahore shared the overall third position by securing 1042 marks each. In Pre-Medical Group (Among Boys), Faisal Maqsood of GCU Lahore secured first position with 1041 marks, the second position was shared by Muhammad Awais of the GCU and Muhammad Zawar Asif of Punjab College of Science with 1037 marks each while the third position was also shared by Muhammad Afraz Naeem of Punjab College of Science and Zargham Abbas Syed of GCU with 1036 marks each.
In Pre-Medical Group (Among Girls), Abyaz Asmar bagged first position, Mahnoor Wazeer of Kinnaird College second with 1042 marks while Namal Nasir of Punjab College for Women third with 1038 marks. Muhammad Umar and Syed Shayan Zahid shared the first position in Pre-Engineering Group (Among Boys), Muhammad Tahir-ul-Haq and Muhammad Nasik both from Punjab College of Science bagged second and third positions with 1036 and 1033 marks respectively.
Rimsha Zia clinched first position in Pre-Engineering Group (Among Girls), Javeria Rizwan of KIPS College second with 1030 marks and Ayesha Khurram of Punjab College third with 1024 marks. In General Science Group (Among Boys), Muhammad Abid of Punjab College of IT secured first position with 1007 marks, Muhammad Sheharyar of the GCU second with 984 marks and Mir Ahmad Jalal of FC College third with 980 marks.
In General Science Group (Among Girls), Rabia Noor of Kinnaird College bagged first position with 1032 marks, Sakina of Punjab College second with 1026 marks while Aniqa Imtiaz of Punjab College and Shumaila Khan of Queen Mary College shared the third position with 1015 marks each. Muhammad Hasnain of Superior College of Commerce bagged first position in Commerce Group (Among Boys) with 1023 marks, Hamza Shahbaz of Punjab College of Commerce second with 997 marks and Jawwad Ahmad Butt of the same college third with 979 marks.
Malaika Rasheed of Superior College clinched first position in Commerce Group (Among Girls) with 996 marks, Hira Salah-ud-Din of Punjab College second with 992 marks while the third position in this group was shared by Rabia Haider of KIPS College and Mahrukh Gull of Punjab College with 988 marks each.
In Humanities Group, (Among Boys), all the three positions were grabbed by private candidates, including Mehran Akbar first with 966 marks, Sajjad Asghar second with 925 marks and Ghulam Qasim Ameer third with 920 marks. In Humanities Group (Among Girls), Nagheen Fatima, a private candidate bagged first position with 984 marks, Hiba Arshad, also a private candidate, second with 973 marks and Dua Hamid of Kinnaird College third with 967 marks.
