LAHORE
Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q) leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Ch Pervaiz Elahi has condemned baton-charge of doctors and paramedical staff and termed it a barbarism of the government.
In a statement, he said that stopping of health allowance of healers who work day and night to take care of others was injustice and called for immediate acceptance of genuine demands of doctors, nurses and other paramedical staff.
Parvez Elahi said people of all sectors were protesting as the government had not accepted their demands and they were forced to resort to strikes and protest as a result of which people suffered badly but the rulers were only concerned about their rule and not about difficulties and sufferings of the poor and common man.
He said during his tenure, doctors and experts of other fields were returning home from abroad but now circumstances had been created that they were leaving Pakistan and government hospitals were being given on contracts.
