LAHORE
The provincial metropolis is likely to receive another day of mixed weather with bright sunshine and thundershowers on Tuesday (today) after 47mm of rain poured down on Sunday night and early Monday morning.
The shallow westerly wave affecting upper and central parts of the country is persisting while further reinforcements to the system are expected over the next 48 hours which will cause another spell of thundershowers in the city from Thursday onwards all throughout the weekend.
The maximum temperature in the city on Monday was 25 degree Celsius while the minimum was 16. The maximum temperature in the country was 39 at Chhhorr and Mir Pur Khas.
In addition to the 47 mm rain in the city, other parts of the country where it rained were Sialkot (City 89, AP 23), Gujranwala 21, Parachinar 6, Gujrat, Bunji 3, Garhi Dupatta, Noorpur Thal, MBDin, Kakul, Malam Jabba, Drosh 2, Murree, Joharabad, Astore and Mirkhani 1 mm.
In the next 24 hours, mainly dry weather is expected in most plain areas of the country. However, rain-thundershower is expected at isolated places in Islamabad, Upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha divisions), Upper KP (Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat divisions), Upper FATA, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
