PAKPATTAN: Unscheduled loadshedding Tuesday troubled locals to a greater extent in the city and its adjoining areas.
Several people fainted owing to excessive heat and long loadshedding.
The relevant authorities are requested to look into the matter.
VALUABLES STOLEN: Locals were deprived of cash and valuables on Tuesday.
Seven gunmen forcibly entered house of Mukhtiar Ahmad of Chak 23/SP and took away gold ornaments, cash and other valuables.
Ifitkhar Ali, Abdul Manan and Niaz Ahmad were deprived of Rs 125,500 by dacoits near animals market.
Ajmal, Ali Raza and Nasreen Bibi snatched gold rings from Sara Bibi and Naseem Bibi worth RS 33,000.
Thieves stole electricity wire from cold storage of Muhammad Nadeem of Chak 75/EB.
BOOKED: Special magistrate Zaheer Ahmad Tuesday directed police to arrest a shopkeeper on charges of violating Ramazan sanctity.
Shopkeeper Sharfat Ali of Gulsan Fareed Colony, Pakpattan, was selling edibles at daytime. The police arrested him.
THREE INJURED: Three people sustained injuries in two incidents.
Muhammad Amin attacked Khursheed of Chak Saddu Piplli and injured him when he was irrigating crops. The accused also injured his mother.

RAPE BID: An accused tried to rape a girl on Tuesday.
Accused Anwer tried to rape daughter of Muhammad Akram. The accused fled when she raised a hue and cry.
POOR SANITATION: Locals of Samadhan Wala locality protested against TMA Pakpattan for not rectifying sanitation conditions in their area.
They raised slogans against the TMA authorities and urged provincial minister to look into the matter.
PICK POCKETING: Two incidents of pickpockets held on Tuesday.
Pickpocket Ejaz drew cash, a cellphone from pocket of devotee Allah Yar at shrine of Baba Fareed.
Pickpockets deprived Muhammad Khursheed of Rs 14,800.
DRUG PEDDLERS: Police arrested drug peddlers and illegal weapons holders on Tuesday.
Police arrested Jalal of Chak 98/D and recovered a 32-bore pistol and Waqar Mahmood of Chak 153/EB and recovered a 32-bore pistol
Police arrested drug peddler Bashir Ahmad of chak 31/EB and recovered 150 grams charas and arrested accused Fayyaz of Chak 19/SP and recovered 70 grams charas.
ELECTROCUTED: A labourer was electrocuted on Tuesday.
Muhammad Hussain,45, of chak Shahber Chowk touched a bare wire and received a fatal shock that claimed his life.
FRAUDSTERS: Police Tuesday registered a case against five accused on charges of fraud.
Ahmad had gotten Rs 24,000 from 125 people and he promised to give them motorcycles. He issued bogus chits.

Pakpattan receives heavy rain

PAKPATTAN: Pakpattan and its adjoining areas received heavy rain on Tuesday.
The rain turned the weather pleasant. The rain water entered houses in low-lying areas. The rain water also disrupts sewerage system in the city.
Meanwhile, Zafar of Chak 84/EB died of heatwave. Several others also fainted due to hot weather.
