CHARSADDA: Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) chief Aftab Sherpao Saturday said his party joined hands with the provincial government for the rights of people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and staged protest outside Parliament House. “But the Pakistan Tehreeik-e-Insaf (PTI)-led government ignored the opposition parties while negotiating issues of the province with federal government,” he complained while addressing a public gathering in Tangi tehsil here.
“The QWP and other opposition parties will not compromise on the rights of Pakhtuns and will keep striving to achieve this objective,” Aftab Sherpao vowed.
He maintained that federal government was least bothered to address the problems of smaller provinces. He added the lacklustre attitude had widened sense of deprivation among people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Referring to the recent attack on him and other terror acts in the country, he said both the federal and KP governments had failed to implement the National Action Plan to improve law and order. “Coordinated and indiscriminate actions are needed to wipe out terrorism,” said Aftab Sherpao.
