Apropos the lead story of The News “SC rejects plea against setting up military courts” on January 29, it is stated that the headline had been taken from the sentence of the story filed by the state-owned news agency APP. The APP report said: “The court also rejected the verbal plea to stop setting up and working of military courts.” The headline inadvertently generated an impression as if the honourable court had thrown out the entire petition which was not the case. Besides, the APP story also wrongly reported that Mr Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan was part of the bench. This part was also carried in the report as such. The errors are regretted. —Editor
