KARACHI: Commissioner Karachi Shoaib Siddiqui has said that PCB chairman Shaharyar Khan has sent a communiqué to him, expressing regret over not organising any one-day or T20 international match against Zimbabwe in the city.
He said the PCB chief had assured him that in the visit of any foreign cricket team in future, Karachi would be the centre.
Commissioner Karachi had strongly protested last week against ignoring Karachi for the matches against Zimbabwe despite assurance of maintaining law and order.
Shoaib said that PCB chairman had told him that he himself felt that an international match against Zimbabwe should have been played in Karachi, but it was not possible.
Shoaib congratulated PCB chairman on return of international cricket to the country and once again assured that Karachi’s administration would always be ready to organise cricket matches.
