Pak delegation off to Baku for meeting of speakers

ISLAMABAD: A 14-member parliamentary delegation under the chairmanship of Speaker NA Asad Qaiser on Monday headed for Baku, Azerbaijan, to attend the first trilateral meeting of the Speakers of Parliaments of Azerbaijan, Pakistan and Turkey.

This visit is on the invitation of Speaker of Mili Majlis of Azerbaijan, Sahiba Gafarova, for participation in the first trilateral meeting of Speakers to be held from 26 to 31st July 2021. The formation of the trilateral platform was the idea of Sahiba Gafarova and it was endorsed by speakers of Pakistan and Turkey as a symbol of cordial relations. The meeting will be preceded by a meeting of the Executive Committee of the Speakers of three Parliaments on 27th July 2021.
