SUKKUR: The Deputy Inspector General of Police, Hyderabad, Sharjeel Ahmed Kharal, has dismissed nine CIA police personnel from service, including in-charge CIA Police Jamshoro Sarwar Rahapoto and a brother of PPP MNA Sikandar Rahapoto. The News has learnt that on July 18, the Sindh Rangers on a tip-off had stopped a police mobile and recovered 76 kilograms of ‘Charas’, being smuggled to Karachi from Jamshoro.
The DIGP Hyderabad had taken notice of the incident and ordered an inquiry. The inquiry report found all nine CIA police personnel guilty of the crime. Eventually, all guilty police officials were dismissed from the job. The personnel were identified as in-charge CIA Centre Jamshoro Sarwar Rahpoto, brother of PPP MNA Sikandar Rahapoto, Head Muharrir Asghar Panhwar, Jabbar Solangi, Abdullah Panhwar, Aijaz Mallah, Yaqoob, Rahib Ali and Abdul Hameed.
