Sehat Sahulat Mobile App launched
Islamabad : Available on Google Play Store, the Sehat Sahulat Mobile App was launched here Wednesday in continuation of efforts to achieve Universal Health Coverage under the government’s flagship health insurance programme operating under the federal and provincial governments.
The PM’s Special Assistant on Health Dr. Faisal Sultan and Chairman of State Life Insurance Corporation inaugurated the App, which is linked with the CNIC number and gets started after login of password and biometric verification. It is more of a personal account which not only shows the balance but also guides the beneficiary regarding other queries.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Faisal Sultan said, the introduction of the Sehat Sahulat Mobile App will bring a revolution in the health sector of Pakistan. “Today, the provision of all kinds of services is vitally dependent on digital platforms. As such, this App will ensure smooth and efficient service delivery to programme beneficiary families.”
The App will protect beneficiaries from the hassle of having to wait in long queues and provide information about the nearest panel hospital in the list of more than 500 hospitals in the desired location, information about benefit packages, etc. The App will enable beneficiaries to check their record right from admission to a hospital up until being discharged after using the Quami Sehat Card. The App automatically detects whether the family is covered under the Federal, Punjab or KP healthcare programme. Moreover, the user can also download awareness material and access animated videos showing key benefits of the programme. The App will also help clients lodge their complaints in case of dissatisfaction with provided services.
Services available from the ‘Quami Sehat Card’ includes open heart surgeries, insertion of stents, management of cancer, neurosurgical procedures, burn management, accident management, dialysis, intensive care management, deliveries, C-section and other medical and surgical procedures. The programme also provides transportation cost to its beneficiaries at the time of discharge from hospital. There is also a provision of burial support of Rs10,000 per death (in the eventuality of hospital-based death). There is also a facility of inter-provincial and inter-district Portability for availing free services from any empaneled hospital across Pakistan.
Sehat Sahulat Programme is the flagship programme of the current political government through which support is provided against catastrophic healthcare expenditure. State Life has played a pivotal role in implementing the social health programmes launched by the federal government, as well as the governments of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab. State Life offers health care services in more than 90 districts of Pakistan with its extensive network of more than 500 hospitals.
