Air Marshal Javaid appointed Air University VC

Islamabad : Air Marshal (r)Javaid Ahmed has resumed the charge as Vice Chancellor Air University, Islamabad says a press release.

He served Pakistan Air Force (PAF) about 40 years and remained on various key positions including Chairman of Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC) Kamra, Commandant of Combat Commanders School, and Chief Project Director of JF-17 Fighter aircraft production program.

He is a renowned expert of aerospace development policies and doctrine formulation & implementation strategies.

He is the graduate of Defence & Strategic studies form Air War College and also did his master in War Studies from National Defence University, Islamabad.

He possesses high command and management skills along with advanced knowledge of emerging fields in academia.

He has also served as Director “Policy and Doctrine” at Centre for Aerospace & Security Studies (CASS), Islamabad. In recognition of his meritorious services at Pakistan Air Force, he has been decorated with Tamgha-e-Imtiaz, Sitara-e-Imtiaz and Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military).

His appointment as Vice Chancellor of the country’s top ranked University has been hailed in academia and learned community.

The Registrar, Air Commodore (r) Muhammad Saleem, all Directors, Deans, Heads of Departments and other officials of Air University have felicitated Air Marshal Javaid Ahmed (r)

on his appointment as Vice Chancellor and assured full support in accomplishment of University’s mission under his leadership.
