“My third album ‘you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love’ is out June 12th,” she wrote in the caption. “I am so proud of this record, and I can’t wait for you to hear it. available for preorder now!”
Besides the announcement caption, Rodrigo also shared the album's striking cover, which shows the chart-topping artist upside down on a swing.
For the album, the 23-year-old teamed up with producer Dan Nigro, with whom she has collaborated on her previous two albums.
Given the sad nature of the album, Rodrigo previously said it was a challenge to write it because she was in a joyful state.
“It was a creative challenge to write from a joyful place. When you’re experiencing that you’re connected to someone, or feeling really good, you’re not in your head thinking about bittersweet poems!”
