Adulterated tealeaves discarded

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Authority along with Hashtnagri police personnel raided a factory allegedly adulterating tealeaves here in Gur Mandi Peshawar.
KP Food Safety Authority Assistant Director Asad Ali said that hazardous colours and jaggery’s fluid were being mixed with the tea.
He said that over 2,000 kilograms of adulterated tealeaves were confiscated in the crackdown.
Asad Ali said the raid was carried out on the information provided through the public complaint cell. The official added that police arrested three accused in the raid and started the investigation.
