MANSEHRA: A child was killed and his two siblings and mother sustained injuries in a roof collapse incident in Mansehra as fresh spell of rain hit parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Friday.
The house of Mohammad Jamshid collapsed in Kangur Dorian village in Darband Union Council in Mansehra, burying his two sons, a daughter and wife under the debris.
The locals rushed to scene and retrieved buried family members and rushed them to the Civil Hospital in Darband where the doctors pronounced Abu Sufian, 8, as dead. The other injured persons were referred to the Ayub Medical Complex in Abbottabad. In Peshawar, the light shower started in the afternoon. However, the weather had remained cold and cloudy since Thursday. Meanwhile, widespread rain/thunderstorm (with snowfall over hills) accompanied by windstorm is expected today (Saturday).
