A 12-year-old has been selected by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (Nasa) for a one-week internship.
According to a statement issued on Friday, Raadeyah Aamir, a student of eighth grade at the British Overseas School, Karachi, would leave for Nasa’s Kennedy Space Center today to go and learn about space.
She would get a chance to train as the next generation of space explorers in the Astronaut Training Experience, land walk and drive on Mars through virtual and motion simulation, and conduct a spacewalk in a microgravity experience, the statement added.
Aamir said that it was her ambition to go to Nasa and wave the flag of Pakistan. She said she was very interested in exploring space and glittering stars in the galaxy.
