ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) expanded its next-generation CharJi EVO wireless broadband service to Multan, a statement said Monday.
The introduction of this high speed wireless service will enable residents of Multan to experience fastest wireless broadband service of the country offered by PTCL.
PTCL Chief Commercial Officer Adnan Shahid said, “PTCL is changing the socio-economic landscape of the country by empowering people to access high-speed broadband nationwide. Launch of CharJi in Multan reflects our commitment to develop and expand high-speed internet eco-system and offering latest technology and fastest data speed to our customers throughout the country.”
PTCL Technical Central Executive Vice President Muhammad Javed Aslam said, “PTCL has always been the forerunner in introducing innovative technologies and services in the country and our CharJi service - backed by the most cutting-edge and reliable wireless network infrastructure - is an extension of this pioneering spirit.”
PTCL Multan Regional General Manager Mubashir Naseer said, “The high-speed connectivity will open new avenues of growth and development in the area.”
The launching ceremony was attended by government officials, media personalities, along with representatives of IT and education sector. Multan Chamber of Commerce President Mian Iqbal Hassan was the Chief Guest, while ZTE Chief Technical Officer Suo Qiming was also present.
CharJi EVO service is available in convenient dongles and Mi-Fi clouds providing a powerful internet experience, faster web browsing, HD video streaming, downloads, uploads and low latency (ping) rates for online gaming, the statement added.
