Abida Hussain announces contesting poll from NA-115

JHANG: Former federal minister Syeda Abida Hussain on Sunday announced contesting election from NA-115, an important constituency consisting of urban area.

She announced this while addressing a press conference at her residence, Shah Jewana House, here. Abida Hussain said that she was elected as MNA from this constituency in 1988 by defeating the late Maulana Haq Nawaz Jhangvi.

She said that she would contest as an independent candidate on the demand of her supporters and voters of this constituency. Responding to a question, she said that she would soon contact the PM for completion of an approved project of the University of Jhang.

Abida Hussain said that overall law and order situation in the country was now better and withdrawal of extra security protocol might not affect on personal security. This would be the last election of her life, she added.
