What happened at Prince George 13th birthday? Expert reveals if he finally got a phone for social media
Inside Prince George’s 13th birthday party: Does the heir finally have an iPhone?
Yesterday marked a very big day in Prince George’s life, not only will he be joining Eton College next month but this is his very last birthday at home, that too a milestone one, and Prince William and Kate Middleton made sure to make it memorable.
While not much is known about the private parties the couple chooses to have for their kids, what is known Is that this year there was one thing that he did not receive, that being an iPhone.
As for the details into what went on, the person who somehow brought it to light is Ms Katie Nicholl, for her piece for Vanity Fair.
She referenced comments by royal commentator Sarah Hewson and she is the one who broke the details down.
According to her, “one thing George won’t be getting is an iPhone,” and the reason for this is because his parents “are very hot on phones,” and “they won’t allow him on social media.”
At the end of the day, “they want to protect him from that for as long as they can.”
But that isn’t all that’s been divulged, an anonymous family friend has also highlighted what their plans are leading up to September, when he finally joins Eton.
Per this friend, the intention is giving him a “summer to remember” because “he starts boarding school in September” and “that’s a big step” in their eyes. “He will be away from home for the first time, and William and Catherine want to spend as much quality time together as they can this summer.”
For those unversed, much of these summer adventures will be shared in Norfolk and a few clips from their heir’s time there were even shared to Instagram, on the eve of his birthday to offer fans more of a glimpse into the nature-enthusiast’s day-to-day while on summer vacation.
Much of their day there is spent going for walks, or jumping into the marshes, and even near the beaches, according to the earlier expert.
She even said, “It’s a [children’s book] Swallows and Amazons–type summer, the best possible summer before George heads off to boarding school.”
