King Charles, Kate leave Prince William ‘bitter’: ‘Stop making it seem as though all is forgiven!’
King Charles’ bid to forgive Harry has landed all wrong
King Charles’ decision to invite Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and their kids to Highgrove House does not seem to have landed with his heir and eldest son Prince William.
The bubbling issues behind the scenes are said to have been bubbling for so much time now that an insider sat down with Heat World to dish on all that’s been eating at him, and his wife too.
Where Kate is concerned, its said she “can’t help” but be terribly ‘worried’ for Harry, “she sees someone who’s broken and angry and carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders,” the source said. “So of course a big part of her feels called to reach out and offer him some support, and the fact that she can’t offer any words of wisdom is very difficult.”
But she has to think of her husband ‘first’ they clarified, and “he’s been very clear that under no circumstances will he accept her extending any sort of olive branch to his brother.” According to the source “he’s convinced it would be seized upon and leveraged in some way by Harry and Meghan.” Plus, “it would totally undermine his position.”
Another aspect is that he feels he’s ‘hung on’ so long and managed to ‘swerve’ Harry and Meghan during their time in the UK, so he’s “quite pleased with himself” for “showing that restraint, instead of ranting and raving.”
That being said however, he’s “still very bitter” about the fact that they managed to ‘worm’ their way into a visit with the King the insider said near the end, “and the last thing he needs is Kate making it seem as though all is forgiven, when it absolutely isn’t.”
