A ONE-DAY seminar on ‘Solid Waste Management and Role of Citizens’ was organised by the Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) in collaboration with Institute of Business Management (IBM), University of Engineering and Technology Lahore.
Speakers including LWMC’s Manager Waste to Energy Project Wasif Azhar, Manager Human Resource Management Faran Ahmad and Assistant Manager Communication Rehman Rashid had a comprehensive and motivating words on the management of municipal solid waste in the city by the LWMC and the desired role of people from all spheres of life to successfully maintain a neat and clean environment across the city.
The seminar was followed by screening of documentary and question and answer session.
Students of IBM applauded the LWMC initiatives and strategy for waste management and motivated citizens for materialising the clean Lahore dream.
Student speakers also highlighted the need for the waste management by department concerned in collaboration with citizens.
