Hoti criticises federal, KP governments
TAKHT BHAI: Former chief minister and Awami National Party (ANP) provincial president Ameer Haider Khan Hoti on Saturday said that federal and provincial governments had failed in addressing the genuine issues of the masses.
Speaking at the golden jubilee celebration of the Pakhtun Students Federation here, he said that his party believed in securing the rights of Pakhtuns in Pakistan.
He said that Awami National Party (ANP) had launched economic development projects in Khyber Pakthunkwha while the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government had failed to address the social and economic issues.
“My government had initiated mega development projects in the province,”
he said, adding that billions of rupees had been spent on education, health and communication during his government.
He said the ANP-led government had launched development schemes in all districts without any political discrimination.
“The current government had plundered the public money while at the same time launched a propaganda campaign against others to hide their own corruption,” he added.
He said that the PTI corruption would be made public after the government term expires.
He claimed that his party would form the next government on the basis of its previous performance while the poor performance of the incumbent government would bring its downfall.
