MANSEHRA: The district administration has submitted the bio-data of around 1050 prayer leaders of jamia mosques for the release of monthly stipend of Rs10,000 each.
“We first collected details and bio-data of 1047 prayer leaders from three tehsils, Mansehra, Oghi and Balakot and submitted it to the department for the release of monthly stipend of Rs10,000 each,” Mohammad Khalid, the district Qanongoyan, told reporters on Thursday.
He added that the deputy commissioner had tasked the administration with collecting data of the prayer leaders of the central mosques in the entire district. “We expect the release of monthly stipend of Rs10,000,” said Muhammad Khalid.
Chief Minister Pervez Khattak had issued directives to the deputy commissioners across province for an early completion of the data of the prayer leaders of the jamia mosques so that they could be released the monthly stipend.
Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl central leader Mufti Kifayatullah along with over 300 ulema had termed that stipend un-Islamic last month but almost all prayer leaders of the jamia mosques had provided details to the district government to receive the monthly stipend.
