State-run TV chairman Ataul Haq Qasmi resigns

ISLAMABAD: State-run TV chairman Ataul Haq Qasmi has resigned from his post. In his resignation Ataul Haq Qasmi alleged that he could not succeed in restoring glory of official TV due to current circumstances prevailing in ministry of information and broadcasting, therefore his resignation should be accepted. The sources have confirmed that secretary information did not receive his resignation. However, senior officials of ministry of information tried to confirm that his resignation was genuine or fake. The direct contact with Ataul Haq Qasmi was not made as his close friends’ mobile phones remained off.
