Energy solutions

November 17, 2017
Much has been said in the media on renewable energy. But the question that now arises is: to what extent have we managed to overcome the energy crisis? The US uses corn as a form of agricultural waste to produce bio-ethanol and soy-based as biodiesel. In the case of Pakistan, the energy crisis cannot be eliminated completely until we manage to tap all feasible renewable energy methods. The major raw material that can be used to achieve this is agri-waste corn, which is readily available. In addition, soy, which is used for extracting biodiesel, can also be put to use in this respect.
I strongly urge the federal ministry of energy to undertake this mode of boosting alternative energy. Assistance from the Higher Education Commission can also be sought. This experiment can produce the energy that is needed to combat the energy crisis.
