LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is the most popular leader of Pakistan, who lives in the hearts of 200 million people of the country.

Talking to the media here on Sunday, he said the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) leadership had served the masses with sincerity and that was why it had become the most-loved party of the country under the vibrant leadership of Nawaz Sharif.

Shahbaz said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan spoiled his political career by telling lies and taking u-turns. Serving people was not his cup of tea as he had only told lies and spread anarchy in the past four years and promoted the culture of hypocrisy, bullying and non-democratic norms, the CM added.

Addressing the PTI chairman, he said, “Niazi Sahib, there is a great difference between the playground and politics”. The people of Pakistan have rejected the sit-in trendsetters and those who made records of corruption in the past, Shahbaz said adding that people had become fed up with anti-development politics and they just wanted advancement and prosperity in the country.

Shahbaz said politics was the name of selfless service to the people and the elements engaged in blame-games could never feel the satisfaction attached with it.He said the elements levelling baseless allegations against the PML-N’s sincere leadership should be ashamed of themselves and first peep into their own conscience. He said the PML-N governments had saved billions of rupees in various development projects.

He said the destiny of Pakistan was going to be changed for the best under the supervision of Nawaz Sharif, which was making the opponents uneasy. He said that those elements who attempted to hamper the process of development and progress had been exposed before the public. These elements made every effort to destroy the economy of Pakistan by delaying the execution of development projects through sit-ins, lockdowns and protests.

The CM said his opponents were destined to stage useless protests, while the public service was the PML-N’s aim. He said the opponents would keep on protesting and they would keep on moving Pakistan forward on the road to progress.

Those engaged in hatching conspiracies against the most popular and sincere leader of the people would achieve nothing, as their wish to seek power through crutches would never be fulfilled. The rejected elements were worried about their defeat in the forthcoming elections of 2018 as the voters would surely oppose the anti-development elements who risk progress of the nation for their vested interests.

The upcoming elections would once again witness the victory of the politics of trust, service, nobility and uprighteousness, as people would never forgive the political elements who have tried to hinder the way of public progress by their negative politics, he added.About the failure of Imran Khan on providing money trail in the court, the chief minister uttered this satire “Lo Aap Apnay Daam May Sayyad Aa Gya.”
