Islamabad: Showers have been forecast in the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi for today (Sunday), whereas very cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country.
According to the Met Office, light rain is expected to fall at isolated places of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Malakand and Hazara divisions, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan today (Sunday) with hills seeing light snowfall in the day.
The Met Office said according to synoptic situation, westerly wave currently affected northern parts of the country.
According to it, the minimum temperature recorded on Saturday was three degree centigrade in Islamabad and six degree centigrade in Rawalpindi with partly cloudy, cold and dry weather. As for other cities, five degree centigrade with cold, dry and partly cloudy weather was recorded in Lahore; 12 degree centigrade with dry weather in Karachi; six degree centigrade with cold, dry and partly cloudy weather in Peshawar, and minus five degree centigrade with very cold, dry and partly cloudy weather in Quetta.
