India behind Chaman attack: Siraj
LAHORE
Jamaat-e-Islami ameer Senator Sirajul Haq said the attack on the Chaman border was an Indian conspiracy aimed at sabotaging cordial relations between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
New Delhi has been working hard against friendship and peace between Pakistan and Afghanistan, he said while addressing a large public meeting at Tank on Friday, says a message received here. Sirajul Haq said Afghanistan had been our friend for centuries but turned into an enemy recently because of wrong policies of our rulers. He said the JI on coming to power, would frame such a foreign policy that no hostile state could dare cast an evil eye on the country.
He said the rulers had been promoting friendship with Hindus, Zionists and the west, and distanced the country from Islamic revolution. He said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had been sending gifts of mangoes to Indian Premier Modi but was hesitant to shake hands with veteran Kashmiri leader Syed Ali Gilani. Sirajul Haq said if courts had carried out the accountability of the prime minister, the nation would appreciate it. He warned that if the corrupt elite managed to escape accountability of their loot and plunder, the nation would take the ruling elite to task on the streets and roads. He said the JI wanted the rule of Shariah in the country that alone could guarantee provision of basic necessities to the general public. "I have always insisted on ensuring the rule of law and constitution so that the common man could enjoy all basic facilities," he added.
Sirajul Haq said the country at present needed peace and national harmony but the rulers had been promoting hatred only to save their skin in the Panama Leaks issue.
Meanwhile, addressing the office bearers of JI youth at Mansoorah, JI secretary general Liaqat Baloch said the party had been fighting a war against corruption in the courts and on roads, finally making the rulers cornered from all sides. He said the ruling junta had been fully exposed in the Panama leaks case and expressed hope that the masses would win the war against corruption in the long run.
