Honour for Pakistani student

Rawalpindi: A ceremony was held to recognise the curricular and non-curricular achievements of the students at the Government Degree College for Women, F-Block, Satellite Town, says a press release.

Director of Colleges Malik Muhammad Asghar was the chief guest on the occasion. He specially lauded the non-academic achievements of a shining student Kainat Khan. She is a Youth Ambassador and a brilliant tennis player of Pakistan. She has also represented the country in several competitions abroad. In June this year she participated in prestigious Peace Award of the Year and obtained a medal and a certificate.

She not only highlighted the name of her college but also promoted the soft image of the country by receiving another award in a forum of Extra Ordinary Peace Award at Miami, Florida (USA), in September 2016.

The Principal of the college Mrs Iram Ashar also acknowledged her achievements and said that she is a role model for others students.
