Armed forces discharging duties as per Constitution: ISPR chief
ISPR DG says Pakistan would continue to play role of regional stabiliser
RAWALPINDI: Director General Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lt. Gen. Ahmad Sharif Chaudhry Thursday said that the armed forces were organized and professional forces, performing their duties on the state directives as per the country’s Constitution.
He said this while addressing students from Salayni IT Programme, Karachi.
Gen Sharif said they the armed forces were frontliner in Pakistan’s ongoing information war.
He highlighted the students’ potential for combating disinformation and supporting Pakistan’s narrative through digital platforms.
He also spoke about the recent success of Operation Bunyanul Marsoos, calling it a landmark in maintaining peace and countering India’s jingoism.
However, he maintained that Pakistan always preferred peace to war.
The ISPR DG said Pakistan would continue to play role of regional stabilizer.
The students actively participated in the session, asking meaningful questions about internal and external threats to the country.
In response, the DG ISPR assured the students that the armed forces remain professional and fully committed to the Constitution.
He reaffirmed Pakistan’s role as a regional stabilizer saying that Pakistan Army was a symbol of national strength.
