KHAR: A schoolteacher was killed in an improvised explosive device (IED) explosion in the Mamond tehsil of Bajaur Agency on Thursday, official sources said.
They said that the teacher identified as Shahzada was on his way to school in Khoro Chinagai when he was targetted with an IED. Following the incident, officials of the political administration and security forces cordoned off the area and started search operation.
It was the second roadside blast in two days. A peace committee member, Imran, sustained serious injuries in a similar blast in the Badan Kot area in Wara Mamond Tehsil a day earlier. He was shifted to a hospital in Peshawar due to his critical condition.Meanwhile, security forces foiled a terror plot by defusing three remote-controlled bombs in Inayat Killay in Bajaur Agency on Thursday, official sources said.
