Safety for converted woman ordered
LAHORE:DIG (Operations) Faisal Kamran Monday directed the SHO of Shadman to ensure protection for a woman who embraced Islam of her own free will and was facing harassment from some miscreants.
During an open court session, the DIG addressed her complaint and issued orders for immediate action on various public grievances. On a domestic violence complaint, DIG Kamran instructed the SHO of Chuhang to verify the incident and act promptly. In response to a delay in a fake cheque case, he summoned the SHO of Gulshan Iqbal and the relevant investigation officer. He issued a show-cause notice to a Chuhang sub-inspector for inaction, with a warning of possible detention if found guilty. The DIG also directed SPs, SDPOs Baghbanpura, and SHOs to address complainants’ pleas effectively.
