Entire May 10 operation designed under Nawaz’s leadership: Azma
LAHORE:Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari said that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz will soon announce a relief package for the families of the martyrs.
Addressing a press conference here at DGPR’s office on Tuesday, she said the nation observed ‘Day of Gratitude’ across the country on the instructions of prime minister to mark the historic victory against arch rival India. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz also instructed all schools to honour this day during morning assemblies. She shared that CM Punjab visited CMH Hospital to inquire after the wounded and expressed solidarity with the families of the martyrs.
Azma said that India’s so-called Operation Sindoor has effectively been turned into Tandoor. “The Modi government took pride in its aircraft, air defence systems, and missiles — and we brought it all to ashes.”
Azma Bokhari said “The nation salutes its martyrs who embraced martyrdom in the face of Indian aggression”. Criticising Narendra Modi’s recent speech, Azma called it “defeated and baseless.” She remarked, “Modi thought this was a Bollywood film where Pakistan could be easily defeated — but this was real, not a cinematic scene.” Taking a strong stance against Indian media, Azma said, “Instead of spreading propaganda, face the facts. We’ve only shown the trailer, the full movie is yet to come.” Azma paid tribute to the leadership of the PMLN, stating, “Nawaz Sharif is a visionary leader. On May 10, the entire operation was designed under Nawaz Sharif’s leadership.”
Later, Azma Bokhari visited CMH Hospital where she met with war veterans and soldiers injured during the Indian aggression. She paid a tribute to the brave sons of the soil who laid down their lives for the protection of the country. Meanwhile, Punjab Minister for Agriculture & Livestock Ashiq Hussain Kirmani said that the way the entire nation united against Indian aggression and boosted the morale of the Pakistan Army was commendable.
Addressing a press conference here along with Provincial Minister for Information Azma Bokhari, he said that initiatives were launched to introduce seed technology, mechanisation, and high-efficiency irrigation systems. Under the Kissan Card scheme, 600,000 farmers have benefited, with Rs65 billion distributed among them. In the next phase, the number of beneficiary farmers will increase to between 750,000 and 1 million.
