LAHORE: Pakistan Revenue Automation Limited (PRAL) is committed to providing free-of-cost services to all taxpayers for the installation and integration of digital invoicing systems with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), said General Manager of PRAL Abid Naeem, while addressing members of the All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA).
He said that it is mandatory for all taxpayers to integrate their invoicing systems with the FBR, with the corporate sector required to comply by June 1, and non-corporate entities by July 1. Emphasising the importance of embracing technological innovation, Naeem explained that PRAL, as a licensed integrator, offers end-to-end assistance -- free of charge -- including structured implementation and ongoing support. He noted that PRAL facilitates direct integration and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, thereby helping businesses avoid penalties. Direct integration, he added, also frees businesses from technical complexities and allows them to manage compliance more effectively.
Naeem highlighted that Pakistan’s financial sector is undergoing a major digital transformation. Under the FBR’s SRO 69(I)/2025, businesses must comply with new e-invoicing requirements to enhance transparency and maintain regulatory compliance. He said the purpose of the seminar was to simplify the transition process by outlining practical steps and addressing concerns from market participants. He reaffirmed PRAL’s commitment to delivering secure, efficient and compliant digital solutions that empower businesses of all sizes. PRAL, he added, has long championed digital innovation in Pakistan and is enabling seamless integration of e-invoicing systems with existing ERP platforms and workflows.
Naeem concluded by saying that such seminars are designed to clarify common challenges and misconceptions around FBR-compliant invoicing, ultimately helping participants benefit from automation, improved visibility and real-time data analytics.
Earlier, APTMA North Chairman Asad Shafi welcomed the PRAL team and thanked them for organising the awareness session on digital invoicing. He noted that, under Rule 150Q of the Sales Tax Rules, 2006, all taxpayers are required to electronically integrate the hardware and software used for the generation and transmission of electronic invoices through licensed integrators.
