Citizens take to streets to show solidarity with Pakistan Army
FAISALABAD: Citizens took to the streets in a massive show of solidarity with the Pakistan Army following the success of Operation Bunyanum Marsoos, which dealt a strong retaliatory response to Indian aggression.
The city echoed with patriotic chants of “Pakistan Zindabad” and “Pak Army Zindabad” as participants rallied under the banner of national unity. Organised by the district administration, the grand rally witnessed enthusiastic participation from government officials, traders, lawyers, students, and members of civil society, all united in their support for the armed forces. Commissioner Maryam Khan, RPO Zeeshan Asghar, MPA Jafar Hocha, Deputy Commissioner Capt (R) Nadeem Nasir and CPO Sahibzada Bilal Umar led the rally.
Addressing the gathering, Commissioner Maryam Khan emphasised that the entire nation stands as a “steel wall” behind the military. “Operation Bunyanum Marsoos delivered a historic response to the enemy in broad daylight,” she said. She urged the public to remain calm in any emergency, avoid believing in rumors, and instead contact the official control room numbers for guidance.
RPO Zeeshan Asghar stated that the operation was not just a counteraction, but a bold declaration that Pakistan is not weak.
“Every soldier is sworn to defend this motherland,” he said. He further advised the public to follow official instructions instead of relying on unverified information.
Deputy Commissioner Nadeem Nasir assured that all departments of the district administration were fully aligned with the armed forces in times of emergency. He also highlighted ongoing civil defense training programmes aimed at preparing citizens to handle crisis situations effectively.
CPO Sahibzada Bilal Umar reiterated that the protection of citizens’ lives remained the top priority during any emergency. The rally was marked by passionate displays of patriotism and reaffirmed Faisalabad’s unwavering support for Pakistan’s defense forces.
