Man kills three family members

NOWSHERA: A man shot and killed his mother, brother and sister in the Pabbi Chowki Darab area over a dispute regarding an electricity connection.

The suspect, identified as Javed Shah, fled the scene with his wife and children after committing the triple murder.

Police officials said the two brothers, Javed Shah and Sameen Shah, lived in the same house and got into an argument over an electricity wire. Their father, Mastan Shah, a retired WAPDA employee, had a free electricity meter installed in their home, they said, adding, the conflict escalated when Sameen Shah cut Javed’s electricity wire, leading to a heated argument.

Sharafat, daughter of Mastan Shah and wife of Waris Khan, told police that she and her husband had come to mediate between her brothers when Javed Shah lost his temper.
